WEST'S PICTURES.
ENJOYABLE ENTERTAINMENT. The;DO|ular West's picture organ!— sation]||pfire greeted with an over>flowing audience in the Town^Hall,' last evening, for the opening of their three night season.. Owing to some delay in connection with the arrival . of part of the motor apparatus the doors were not opened; punctually to , time, but the delay was amply compensated for by the variety and quality of the films'exhibited. The programme was a varied one* and pictures, comic, dramatic and spectacular!* were presented with uniform successs The film "Beautiful Btit*t*iy|fe was instructive Tsis ■«*- delineation vjjt the customs >nd in~ dustries of a'picturesque people. "The Gorges of Tarn" provided a»' interesting study of the (flights bt ptmling and shooting the rapids. The oM world glories; of the Orient were shown in "Aden and Its Came! Markets.'" . "Naval manoeuvres/* was a prttty scene. In the comic department "Living Reflections" was a'clever "fake" study, and "A Stolen Watch," and-"A Strong Woman" were extremly diverting. • The dramatic studies are perhaps the most popular items and in this cont nection "For a Wife's Honor," "The Heart of a Gipsy" and "The Postman's .Daughter" were amongst several notably fine pourtrayala of the vagaries of human -nature. The management *re to be complimented on the excellence of the pictures and the orchestral arrangements. For to-night and * to-morrow night an entirely new programme is announced. ... •■ ■ •
