TRUST LANDS TRUST.
To the Editor. j Sir,—At the annual meeting qf the Trust Lands Trust, a question was asked whether it were possible to get the balance sheef published before the meeting, so that person s in terested. could digest it xand be prepared to ask questions on any special points. The chairman, in reply, stated that it was lawful to publish the balance sheet before it was audited, and the public auditor's services could not be secured before the annual meeting. This could be got over by the Trustees drawing up a report embracing all the salient points of the balance sheet, and handing the same to the newspapers for publication a few days before the annual meeting. By thus taking the people into their confidence the Trustees would create a greater interest in the good work they carry out from year to year, and also give opportunity for genuine criticism. —I am, etc., INTERESTED.
