EXCHANGE OF SITES.
The Chairman then referred to tliii exchange of sites. He explained terms of the exchange, which were that the Minister for Justice had promised the site in Queen street, mentioned in. the Empowering Act, together with 13 feet right-of-way adjoining, for the site on the corner of Chapel and Lincoln roads, and the site from the Technical School to opposite the Park gates, together with the sum of £IOO. As soon as the Bill had gone through the matter would be proceeded with. The public wouid have a vote on the matter before it was settled. Mr A. Gardner enquired whether it would not be possible to have a bal-ance-sheet printed and circulated be* fore the meeting. At present unless a Trustee came forward as Mr Robinson came forward the public knew nothing about the matter at all. The Chairman explains j that it was impossible for the auditor to audit it in time, and it was thought inadvisable to publish a balance sheet which might subsequently be altered by the auditor. Mr Robinson moved a hearty vote of thanks to the chair. The motion was carried by acclamation, and the meeting closed.
