RAILWAY STATIONS.
Replying to a depufcatidrl'at Leeston, the Hop. J. A. Millar said that it was not the intention of th« Railway Department to build elaborate stations throughout the country. What was wanted was ample platform and office accommodation. He had requests for nsw stations from all over the Dominion, but the cost must be met out of revenue, and only a certain amount was available. Only four or five stations would be replaced this year. The Department could easily upend a million pounds this year on the renewal of stations and yards, but the desire was bounded by the funds available. I
