AN AMERICAN PROTEST. ENORMOUS PROCESSION. Received May 11, 8.10 a.m. NEW YORK, May 10. A demonstration has been held in New York entitled "White Carnation Day,'' consisting cf an enormous procession uf elderly mothers and fathers, as a protest against the new idea of "progressive womanhood." Sermons were- preached on motherhood in many of the churches.
