METHODIST SUNDAY SCHOOL.
MONTHLY MEETING OF TEACHERS. The monthly meeting of the teachers and officers of the Methodist Sunday School was held in the loung Men's Class-room, list evening. There were present:—Messrs J. A. Donald (charman), O. Pragnell, S. G. Cresswell, P. Church, M. Jackson, C. E. Daniell, T. R. Manneil, E. R. Wilson, J. Heyhoe, Misses Church, W. Darnell, E. Heyhoe and Secretary (Mr JR. J. Mclver). The Secretary reported as follows: —Teachers on roll. 22; average attendance, 17, or 78 per cent; scholars on roll, 263; average attendnace, 186, or 71 per cent; infant department on roll, 100; average attendance, 66, or 66 per cent; Young men'd class, on roll, 19; average attendance, 15, or 76 per cent.; young women's class, on roll, 34; average attendance, 11, or 32; per cent. Miss E. King was admitted as a teacher in full. Mr C. Morshed kindly consented to take the position of organist, and to form a choir in connection with the Sunday School. The Executive Committee of the recent "Rainbow" Exhibition submitted the following report in connection with the bazaar:—lncome: Infaiit Class Stall, Mr Mannell, £42 10s lOd; Young Men's Class Stall, £26 13s9£d; Sweets, Miss Carpenter, £lO 7s 3d; Produce, Miss Cresswell, £8 3s 2£d; Young Women's Stall, £7 19s 10s; Fancy Stall, Miss Church, £6 4s lid; Refreshment Room, Miss W. Daniell, £5 18s lid; Christmas Tree and Bakers' Oven, Miss Daniell, £5 17s sd; curio. Mr Newcombe, £1 14s 9d; Cooking Contest, Mrs Archer, 18s 9d; proceeds from door, £lB 18s 3d; total, £134 17s lid. Expenditure: Rent for Drill Hall, £3 10s; extras. £2 14s 6d; total, £6 4s 6d; leaving a credit balance of £l2B 13s 5:1. It was decided to forward a recommendation to the special meeting of the Church Trustees, on Friday i night, showing the amount of cash in hand, and asking them to proceed ' with the erection uf the infant room at once.
