FURTHER, STRIKE PROBABLE. STRENUOUS PRECAUTIONS. SYMPATHY FROM RAILWAY MEN. United Press Association—By Electric Telegraph Copyright, Received May 10, 8.35 a.m. PARIS, May 9. The Disciplinary Council of Paris has dismissed eight postal officials. Strenuous precautions are being taken to prevent disorganisation in the event of a renewed strike. Many soldiers and cyclists are in readiness to sort and deliver letters, and 10,000 trained pigeons are held in Paris, and 100,000 in the provinces. The Kailwaymen's Union has voted in favour of a general strike unless Parliament passes an Old Age Pensions BUI, and is also supporting the Post Office employees. Meanwhile the Government, as a precautionary measure, will dissolve the Postal Servants' Union as an illegal combination. IN CASE OF EMERGENCY. Received May 10. 10.40 p.m. PARIS, Mav 10. French warships have been ordered to take up a position along the coast in order to maintain communication in the event of a telegraphic strike. The Bluejackets on leave have been recalled.
