MASTERTON A. AND P. ASSOCIATION.
GROUND COMMITTEE. The monthly meeting of the Ground Committee of the Masterton A. and P. Association was held last Saturday morning. There were present : Messrs W. Perry (chairman). Q. D. Donald, E. J. Dagg, Win. Cooper, McGregor junr., W. J. Welch, J. P. Perry, B. Rayner, and J. Strang. • The chairman reported that Messrs D. McGregor junr., B. Rayner, and himself had visited Soiway on Wednesday, sth inst., and after going carefully into the question n£ planting trees for. shelter purposes at the back of the bush, they had decided t i recommend that two rows of trees be planted six feet ap.ut for a distance of about fifteen chains, between the bush and the proposed plantation; aiso that decidious trees be planted between the proposed plantation and bush, and fenced separately, and that three rows of deciduous trees ba planted around the oval.
