Messrs Abraham and Williams, Ltd., report on their Palmerstnri North sale to-day as follows:—An ex (•optionally good yarding of all classes .of stocK came forward, the cattle pens being taxed to their utmost capacity. Sheep showed a' decided improvement:, but cattle met with a dull sale, probably owing to the very heavy yarding. We quote:—-Sheep. •-Mixed atred ewes in | lamb, good, 12a lid; 4-tooth to sounrl mouth ewes, 6s 6d to 9s 7d; and 9s 8d; ugftl . ewes, ss; 2-tooth wethers, 8s (Jrj, 8a lid to 10s; empty ewer;, poor, 4n 7d to F>s sd; good lainbs, S3 Id; small, ~>-.i (!d to (is Id. Cattle. —Three and 8£ ye-ir , bullocks, £4 Ids to £5; 2 and 2£ : year steers, &Z ss, £3 is in! to £4; 'lB rncntha to 2 year steers, £2. ss, !£2 9s fid, £2 13s to £2 Ms; IS j months Polled Angus stears, £2 1 I mother reared weanevs, 20s; fat j cows, £'> 8s to £3 lor,; Forward cows, £2 10s to £3- forward heifers, £2 2s ! 6c!; weaners, 5s to lis.
