WAIRARAPA ASSOCIATION i The fixtures in connection with the Wairarapa Hockey Association's competitions commeonced yesterday. SENIOR COMPETITIONS. CARTERTON v. KNOX. The match between Carterton and Knox was played at Carterton. The following were the teams-. Carterton : G. Tunnicliffc, B. Eagle, S. Sievers, Petersen, Fisher (3), R. Reid, Morgan, 'F. Bunny and K. King. Knox: Boyd, Dixon, Morris, Wilson, Archer, Gray, White, Gordon, Griffiths, Reynolds, Thompson. Carterton won by 2 goals to nil, the scorers being R. Reid and R. King. Mr A. Pragnell was referee.
JUNIOR CHAMPIONSHIP. KNOX v. CARTERTON B. On the Showgrounds, Knox defeated Carterton B Juniors teamby 5 goals to nil. The winners had the best of the game, being very seldom on the defensive. The teams were as follow:—Knox: R. Cairns, P. Bennett, P. Church, W. Hornblow, L. Person, C. Voyce, C. Cole. W. Flaws, L. Boyd, J. Berry, A. Barry. Carteron: S. Skelley, Lorenzon, P. Andrews, G. Wallis, Rev. Bowe, R. Tucker, C. Hewson, C. Lamb, W. E. Laurenzon, P. Partridge and N. Martin. Boyd (2), Berry (2) and Barry scored for Knox. Mr F. B. Rosson was referee.
CARTERTON v. W.F.G.A. The above match was played at Carterton yesterday, and was won by the home team by one goal to nil after a poor display of hockey. The goal was scored by Dewdney. The teams were as follows:—Carterton: C. White, A. Tunniciffe, Dudson (2), Ellis, W. Gordon, F. Fairbrother, Major, r«. Sievers, Dewdney and J, Gayfer. W.F.C.A.: Hatch, Scrimgeour, Bari% Williams (2), Cummings, Johnson, Parker, Potter, Dickson, Byrn. Mr J. Kin 4 was referee.
