WELLINGTON LAND BOARD ELECTION.
(To the Editor). Sir,—Kindly allow me a little sua;e in your valuable and widely circulating paper to show why Crown tenants should support the candidature of Mr A. J. Joblin, of, Tiriraukawa, fdr a seat on the Wellington Land Board. I have known Mr Joblin for the past twelve years, and know what he and his family have had to endure as settlers in the back-block 3, where it us2d to take a matter of about twelve hours to cover a distance of say, twenty miles owing to the inaccessible state of the new countrycountry where in places the whole road would disappear, necessitating Mr Joblin cutting new tracks to enable him to do his business. I must say that this is the type of man we want on the Land Board—a man who has endured fall the hardships of a country settler. I knowt he gentleman in question to be energetic, persevering and a hard worker, who, if elected, will give his careful consideration to all settlers and to the Dominion as a whole. If we had-had this stamp of a man on the Board in years gone by there would to-day be many a man here as a farmer who in the early days had to forfeit his interest in his holding simply because the hardships were too great and life too short. Electors, you can depend upon Mr A. J. Joblin working' for you, as his interests are your's. Therefore, don't forget that he is the man. —I am, etc., R, H. COLTMAN, j Dannevirke, May 4th, 1909.
