LABOUR PARTY'S BILL DEFEATED. Received May 2, 4.30 p.m. LONDON, May 1. _ In the House of Commons the second reading of the Labour Party's Right to Work Bill was rejected by 228 votest oills. The The Hon. John Burns (President of the Local Government Board) strongly opposed the Bill.
