Tewik Pasha is forming a new Cabinet. All the European Sovereigns have congratulated the new Sultan on his accession t'i the throne. Saba-ed-Din, President of the Liberal Union, who was "arrested on suspicion of being connected with the reactionary plot, has been released.
REFUGEES SHELTERED. BRITISH ENVOY THANKED. Received April 30, 8.35 a.m. CONSTANTINOPLE, April 29. The British authorities and private residents, during the recent turbulent times in Constantinople, sheltered many Turks of all shades of opinion. Sultan Mohammed and Mukhtar Pasha visited the British Ambassador at Constantinople, and thanked him for saving Mukhtar's life. YOUNG TURKS DECLINE PORTFOLIOS. Received May 1, 12.5 a.m. CONSTANTINOPLE, April 30. Several prominent Young Turks have declined portfolios. Tewfik's Cabinet are despatching a courtmartial to Adana to try instigators of the massacres, and they have resolved to deal with the accused with the utmost severity.
