A meeting of the Wairarapa Thursday Rugby Union was held on Tuesday night last to consider the advisability of carrying on the season, as no teams had at present entered, and there were prospects o± only three coming forward, namely, Rovers (Carterton), Liberals (Featherston), and Albions (Masterton.) The latter team had not signified its intention in any way, and the secretary was instructed to wait upon them and find cut their determination. A credit balance of £6 4s 7d was reported by the secretary, and considering that the Union had started the previous season with a debit balance the position was considered eminently satisfactory. A hearty vote of thanks was accorded to the secretary, Mr E. A. Edwards, for his past work. A meeting of the Masterton Football' Club will be held this evening, in the Y.M.C.A. rooms, at 7.30 o'clock, when important business will be discussed.
