During a heavy gale the ketch Duwn struck on a reef at Low Head, furty miles north-west of Launceston. passengers and crew were rescued after remaining in a perilous position all night. They lost everything. The ketch is a total wreck. 'l% MAILS DELAYED. Received Aprli 27, 9.40 a.m. ADELAIDE, April 27. Boisterous weather prevails on the coast. The landing of the Ophir's English mails was delayed. A CHURCH BLOWN DOWN. Received April 27, 9.35 a.m. MELBOURNE, April 27. Severe gales during the past two days have caused considerable damage to property in the country. The Methodist Church at Colac was blown down.
