The Wellington season of Mr J. C. Williamson's Royal Comic Opera Company has fully upheld the ' world's verdict on this remarkable and fascinating comic opera, which has been produced in every civilised country and played in almost every known language with varying success. It is in the second year of its sensational 'triumph at Daly's theatre, London; the Engish libretto is by Victor Leon and Leo Stein,. the music is by Franz Lehar, who already has received a king's ransom in royalties. To satisfactorily repre sent his attraction in accord with the best traditions of Mr J. C.. Williamson's Koyal Comic Opera Company, that famous combination has been greatly strengthened and augmented in all departments by some important engagements including Mr Higginson, a highly-gifted English baritone. Amongst the old: favourites are Miss Florence Young,\ the popular soprano and actress, and. Mr Reginald Roberts, the tenor. The cast -also discloses such names as Mr Victor Gouriet, the clever comedian; Mr W. S. Percy, Mr C. P.. Bantoek, D. B. O'Connor, and other favourites. Miss Nellie Wilson is anotherclever actress who will be favourably remembered; also Misses Marietta Nash, Alma Vaughan and Georgie Musgrove. Box plans will, be opened at Miss Rive's to-morrow (Thursday).
