BROKEN HILL DISPUTE.

JUSTICE HIGGINS' AWARD. UPHELD BY HIGH COURT. Receivud April 23, 8.35 p.m. SYDNEY, April 22. The High Court has upheld Mr ustice Higgins' arbitration award in connection with the Broken Hill dispute. The Proprietary Company appealed against the award, chiefly on the grounds that the Court exceeded its jurisdiction. The Chief Justice in overruling the objections said that by the judgment of the Court the Unions got all they came into the Court to ask, and nothing more.

Justices O'Connor and Isaacs concurred in the Chief Justice's remarks.
