MASTERTON MORRIS TUBE ASSOCIATION.

ANNUAL MEETING. The annual meeting of the Masterton Morris Tube Aseociation was held last night in the Drill Hall, Dr Cook, President, occupying the chair. The balance sheet showed the balance brought be £4 la Id, and the receipts £35 19s lOd, making a total of £4O 0s lid. The expenditure amounted to £34 12s 2d, to gether with a balance of £5 8s 9d, making a total of £4O 0s lid; so that the Association made a profit of £1 7s 8d on the year's operations, besides circulating £34 is 2d in the town. The assets showed an excess over liabilities of £lO 17s 9d. Thia was considered satisfactory. Last year was a record one for the Association, both as regards membership and shooting, and everything points to this year's operations equalling last year's. Extra expenses would have to be met to accommodate the increasing membership. The following officers were elected for the year:—Patron, Mr Henry Holmes; President, Dr Cook; VicePresidents, Messrs Burridge, O. Pragnell, W. Hodges, H. C. L. Robinson, A. C. Major, C. E. Daniell. F. Whitton, C. J. Taylor, R. J. King, and T. Evans; Captain, Mr R. J. King; Secretary and Treasurer, Mr D. M. Mcintosh; Auditor, Mr C. Perry; Referees, Messrs W. Winslade, H. Perry and W. Hodges; Match and Handicap Committee, Messrs U. Wellington, E. Perry and W. Winslade; Range Officers, Messrs Hornblow and Williams. Messrs W. Minett, H. Harvey, C. Hopkins, C./ Gray, and A. Wheeler were elected new members. It was announced by the chairman that Mr R. J. King had offered a handsome trophy for competition on the lines of the President's trophy last year. A hearty vote of thanks was accorded to Mr King for the offer.

It was left with the executive to arrange for use of the Drill Hall, etc., for the ensuing season. It was decided to open the season with a practice on the first Thursday in May, the details of arranging targets, Morris tubes, etc., being left to the executive. A hearty vote of thanks was passed to those gentlemen who had filled the honorary positions of the Association for ( the past season, and who had so generously assisted the Association . with donations and trophies, the opinion being expressed that it was chiefly due to this patronage that the Association was in such a flourishing state. A hearty vote of thanks to the chair terminated the proceedings.
