CARTERTON NEWS.

(From Our Resident Reporter.) Tuesday. Bro. T. W. Foster, D.R., presided at a meetinu of the Hope of Carterton®!'en t. 1.U.R.. last evening. An application to be placed on the list as a Lodge doctor was received from Dr Smyth, and the matter was left open to the members. A circular in reference to centralisation was received from the District Chief Ruler, and held over for further consideration. The fortnightly meeting of Totara Lodge, U.A.0.D., was held last night, Bro. G. Hart, A.D., presiding. Dr Borghetti, eye specialist, Wellington, wrote asking for a list of members, and giving special quotations for attendance on them. An application from Dr Smyth to be, made a medical officer of the Lodge was held over for consideration at the half-yearly meeting.
