CRICKET.
(From Our 0»n Correspondent. A cricket match Mataikona v. Akitio was played on the 10th inst. at Akicio. The day was a glorious one for cricket and the pitch was ths bast that the visitors had ever played on. Mr F.Armstrong takes particular interest in his cricket ground, and it is certainly a credit to hitn. Mr and Mrs Armstrong treated the cricketers in their usual warm hearted manner, and, needless to say,fjwhere heartily cheered for their hospitality. Mr Armstrong was.in good form, both with the ball and the bat, as was also Mr Latham for Mataikona teams. Ihe following were the scores: — MATAIKONA. First Innings. R. Barton, b Crosse, 3 J.
