AN IMPORTANT MATTER.
An important matter came before the General Committee of the Masterton A. and P. Association, on Saturday afternoon last, when th« question of whether the next Show should be held at Solway or on the present grounds was discussed. A special committee reported that the fact of the Association still having on its hands th-> old grounds made it almost a matUr of impossibility from a financial standpoint for the Association to move to Solway for the next Show. The matter was discussed briefly, members generally admitting that the special Committee's report took the right view in recommending that the next Show be held on the old grounds, in view of the position of the Association. Mr J. Strang said that he believed that the Association could easily raise the necessary amount to finance the Association into Solway this year—estimated to be between £3,000 and £4,000. Ab several members ware not fully conversant with the financial position the matter was held over till the meeting.
