ALLEGED MURDER.
Received April 19, 12.30 a.m. BRISBANE, April 19. An elderly man, named McLaughlin, has been arrested charged with the murder of two men named Stevenson and Mustaffa, at Johannesburg in January, 1895. He has been remanded pending the arrival of the Transvaal officer. Accused states that he and some mates were shelved from billets by the deceased, but he declares that he had nothing to do with the murder, though he was blamed for it.
