FOOTBALL.

A meeting of the Masterton 111. will be held in the Y.M.C.A., this evening, at 8 o'clock. A general 'meeting of the Te Nui foutballers was held on Saturday evening, Mr Hancock occupying the chair, writes oar Te Nui correspondent. The secretary (Mr E. Collerton) showed a substantial credit balance from last year's matches. It was decided to play Northern Union rules during the coming season, and to hold a practice match on the 17th inst. The club's colours are to be all black. The following officers were elected for the ensuing year:—Patron, Mr Maunsell; President, Mr Nevins: Vice-Presi dents, Dr. Uunn, A. Groves, W. and A. Spsedy, M. Innes, P. W. Groves, J. S, Langdon; Hon. Secretary, Mr E. Collerton (re-elected); Treasurer, Mr A. T. Hancock (re-elected); Captain, Mr Sid. Schofield. At a meeting of the Martinborough and Tuhirangi Football Clubs, it was decided to amalgamate and call the Club the Lower Valley Football Club. It was decided to enter senior and junior teams for the Wairarapa Rugby Union's competitions, and to elect the following officers for the ensuing year:—Patron, Mr John McMaster; President, Mr Hugh Mackay;

Captain, Mr Peter Cowan; Secretary, Mr J. Howlett; Treasurer, Mr D Byrne.
