MILLIONAIRES CAUGHT. Received April 14, 8.15 a.m. LONDON, April 13. The New York correspondent of the "Daily Mail" reports that it is rumoured that Mr Patten, the wheat speculator, caught several New York millionaires selling short and they were forced to buy in the public market to meet their engagements. Fifteen million bushels of wheat are stored in the Duluth district. No attempt has been made to send it to Chicago. It is supposed that Mr Patten and his friends control the supply. A DAY'S EARNINGS. Mr Patten is holding for 130 cents for July wheat, and for 325 for September wheat. During the week a syndicate holding ten million bushels joined Mr Patten. The quartern loaf in London has risen to sixpence. Bakers are demanding a rise to sixpence halfpenny and sevenpence.
