RESIGNATION OF MEMBERS,
SENSATION IN EDINBURGH,
Received April 14, 10.51 p.m. LONDON, April 14
A sensation has been caused at Edinburgh, through Messrs Keir Hardie, Snowden, Macdonald and Glasier having resigned as members of the Administrative Council, owing to the Independent Labour Conference adopting a vote of semi-sympathy with Mr V. Grayson, by suggesting that the Council should endeavour to come to terms with Messrs Grayson, Blatchford and other irreconcilables who object to the Council, and desire to work with the Liberals. Messrs Keir Hardie, Snowden, Macdonald, and Glasier considered this to be a vote of censure. After a hottempered debate, the Conference begged the members to reconsider their resignations.
