RACING. X FEILDING RACES. By Telegraph—Press Association. FEILDING, April 13. There was beautiful weather for the second day of the Feilding races. The track was in lino order. Seven bookmakers olied their calling outside, and three.inside. The totalisator figures for the two days were £22,104, against ,£31,524 last year. Results:— Denbigh Stakes—Mon Ami, 9.11, 1; Hermia, 7.9, 2; Toa Tuhi, 6.12, 3. Also started—Tanekaha 8.1, Aberbrothock 7.13, Nicotine 7.4, Debonaire 6.10, Guiding Step 6.7. Mon Ami went to the front at the start, and led all the way, winning easily by three lengths- Time, lmin 16sec.
Awahuri Hack Welter —Glem.ara, 9,3, 1; Midian, 9.2, 2; Canadian, 7.9, 3. Also started—Mississippi 7.7. Won comfortably by half a length. Kimboltcn Hurdles—Maidi, 11- 9 1; Whatakura, 9,9, 2;; Rookby, 11.2 3. Also started—Master Douglas 11.4, Oryx 10.8, Faparaehi 9.13, Showman 9.8- Showman and Paparaehi led for the first mile, when Maidi took command, and. won by a length. Time, Smin 21 S-Ssec. Oroua Hack Hurdles —Whimper, .13, 1; Rangihaeta, 10.13, 2; Speciosa, 10.3, 3. Also started— Moose 9.13, Prince Hassan 9.3, Montague 9.0. Speciosa led to the five furlongs post. Whimper then took charge, and won easily by two lengths. Time, 2min 49 4-ssec. Easter Handicap.—Waipaku, 8.7, 1; Golden Gate, 6.8, 2; Flingot, 7.6, 3. Also started—Tangimoana 9.0, Mahuta 8.7, Uhlando 8.0, Tangeroa 6.9, Paione 6.7. Waipaku, Mahuta and Tangimoana led in that order past the stand, and kept in that order till near the home turn, where Golden Gate cstme up to second place. Waipaku won easily by a length and a-haK. Time, 2min Seec ReW3, Hack—Dervish, 6.7, 1; Nyland, 9.3, 2: Singer, 6.12, 3. Also stnrted—Nicotine 7.13, Hydraulic 7.8, JVaipunui 7.7, Quick March 6.10, Liquid Air 6.7. Won by a length. Time, lmin 16 l-ssec. Maiden Scurry—Prevail 1, Wharekoa 2, Waiouru 3. Also started— Sylvan Song, Captan Bell, Official, Belle Annie, Arivore, Thetis, Puke-
turu, Newport, Retort, Rawawa, Rosy Morn, Leolander, Koutwai. Prevail wen.t to the front at the start, and led all the way, winning by two. lengths. Time, lmin 10 4-ssec. Makino Welter—Eclogue, 8.13, 1; Longner, 9.2, 2; Probability, 8.9. 3. Also started—-Bourrasque y.5, Roosevelt 8.11, Belario 8.3, Moscow 8.1, Anemone 7.9. A splendid start. The field were bunched all the way. Entering the straight the first two came away, and after a great tussel Eclogue won by half a length. AUSTRALIAN RACING. By Telegraph—Press Association. Received April 13, 8.20 a.m. ADELAIDE, April 13. At the Onkaparinga Easter Meeting, the Onkaparinga Cup was won by Willywally, Sedan being second and Metal Queen third. There were ten starters. Sedan led to nearing the turn, where Willywally came to the front and won by a length. Time, 2min 23 4-ssec.
The Great Eastern Steeplechase resulted :—Workmaster, 11.11, 1; Reindeer, 11.1, 2; Seymour, 12.8, 3. Reindeer and Workmaster went to the front early in the race, Reindeer holding a slight advantage. Reindeer crossed the last fence clear of Workmaster and Seymour, and a great race home resulted in favour of Workmaster by three-quarters of a length, with Seymour two lengths away. Time, 6min 58sec.
