FACTORIES WRECKED. DRAGOONS AND STRIKERS IN CONFLICT. Received April 12, 10.5 p.m. PARIS, April 12. During a strike of 12,000 buttonmakers at Meru demanding a uniform wage 600 of the strikers attacked and wrecked two factories and stormed a manufacturer's dwelling house. The owner, his wife and servants fled in their night-clothes out through the back door Next morning 200 dragoons had serious conflicts with the strikers, and several of the troops were wounded.

A thousand cavalry have been sent to Meru.
