MASTERTON SCHOOL COMMITTEE.
At the meeting of the Masterton School Committee on Thursday evening last the Chairman expressed the hope that there would be a large attendance of householders at the annual meeting on the 26th inst. and trusted that the best Committee obtainable would be elected. No doubt all parents approve oi the Chairman' 3 sentiments, for the Masterton School has not only an excellent reputation, but it is the institution of the greatest importance to the community. It is not going too far to say that upon the success of the School the welfare of the town depends. The Masterton School is an institution of which the town is proud, and it is pleasing to be able to state that the Committee during the past year have worked enthusiastically and successfully for the cause that they have at heart. The Chairman hopes that the best Committee obtainable will be elected on the 26th inst., and we echo his wish, at the same time, it may fairly be questioned whether a better Committee than that which is retiring could be elected. We trust that the incoming Committee will acquit itself as well.
