SUPERANNUATION ACT.

By Telegraph—Press Association. INVERCARGILL, April 8. In the 1908 Superannuation Act, power was given local bodies to form a Municipal Superannuation Fund, either individually or* collectively. Local bodies representatives throughout Southland held a meeting some time ago and decided to write to the Municipal Association, which communicated with the local bodies throughout New Zealand, asking what support they would give the scheme. Invercargill corporation employees have'now decided favourably. The Council considered the matter tonight, and referred recommendation to forward the employees' decision to the Municipal Association, back to the Finance Committee in order that the form might be changed, so as to give the fullest information as to the intention of the employees and local conditions.
