BOXING.
BURNS' PROPOSED TOUR. Letters have been written to the Wellington Boxing Association by Mr Corbet, of Sydney, intimating that "Tommy" Burns is desirous ox making a privately conducted tour of New Zealand, accompanied by hi s sparring partners, Leo O'Donnell and Pat O'Keefe. The question as to whether a private tour would accord with the spirit of ths statute governing New Zealand boxing has to be considered, and the New Zea land Boxing Council is to be consulted on the point. '.'Bill" Lang, the last man to defeat "Bill" Squires, is another boxer who is desirous of touring New Zealand with the gloves on.
