district agrees with their decision to close on Saturday next, and thua secure hundreds of employees an unbroken holiday from this THURSDAY EVENING, at 10 o'clock, till NEXT TUESDAY morning, at 8 a.m. This is the only chance during the whole year of giving the employees an opportuniiy of having a decent holiday. We respectfully urge upon residents, therefore, the necessity of doing the usual Saturday's shopping to-day and this evening.
