METEOROLOGICAL.
By Telegraph—Press Association. WELLINGTON, April 6. The following is the Rev. D. C. Bates' weather forecast to 3 p.m. tomorrow :—High westerly winds, with fair weather, and little movement of the barometer probable north of New Plymouth and Napier, but elsewhere expect rough westerly weather and a falling barometer, preliminary to a smart rise after from 24 to 36 hours. Mr J. C. Boddington reports that the rainfall registered at Upper Plain for the 24 hours up till 9 a.m. on Tuesday was 16 points. £ Mr S. Mawley, Ditton, reports as follows:—The rainfall tor March was 4|i43.*The maximum in 24 hours was 2.03 on the 29th. The average for March daring the past 28 years is 4.21.
