FOOTBALL.
A meeting of the Martinborough and Tuhirangi clubs is to be held on Friday next for the prupose of considering the question of entering a senior team for .the Wairarapa Rugby Union's competition. Exception is being taken by several clubs in Auckland at the New Zealand Rugby Union allowing club teams from New Zealand to visit Australia. Strong feeling is being expressed at the Ponsonby Club being allowed to do so. and at the annual meeting 1 of.the Parnell Club several speakers said that such trips would eventually spoil Auckland football, g s all the best players had joined two of the clubs who had such visits in view. The result was thac those "two clubs were in a class by themselves, and the other clubs being outclassed, interest in their matches naturally | waned.
