THE BUTTER MARKET.
SLUMP IN r . LONDON. CONCERN IN WELLINGTON. By Telegraph—Press Association. I *. WELLINGTON, April 4. % The news of the butter slump in London has occasioned some concern locally. Butter is down to an average of, roughly, 9£d, while the outputs of many factories were the beginning of tbe season at an average of Hid per lb. On this basis the loss is l|d per lb, or, roughly, £l7 0s 5d per ton. In addition to the butter already on the market, there are heavy shipments afloat — perhaps the heaviest triat have been shipped from New Zealand at this time of the season since the industry started.
