PRISONERS AND TREE PLANTING.
By Telegraph—Press Association. WELLINGTON, April 1. The Hon. Dr. Findlay has obtained a report .from Dr. Hay, Inspector of Asylums, regarding the prisoners who might be suitable subjects to transfer from gaols lo existing tree planting stations. The report deals with the ckeurrsLanres, character, and records of each prisoner, and only those that the criminalogist recommends will bo transferred.
