METEOROLOGICAL.
UPPER PLAIN RAINFALL. Mr J. C. Boddington "reports as follows:—Rain fell on the Upper Plain 11 days in March. The maximum fall during 24 hours was 1.24 ' inches on March 30th, and 1.14 ;! inches on the'l9th. The minimum j was 1 point on the 3 sth. The total J 1 rainfall for the month was 4.17 , inches, as' against 4.97, 4.11, 3.93, ( 8.10 and 6.39 inches in 1904, 1905, 11906, 1907 and 1908. The total for | the three months of the year is 9.18 (inches, as against 8.81, 6.57, 11.65, 16.87 and 7.20 inches for the ccrresponding period in 1904, 1905,1906, 1907 and 1908.
