STOCK MARKET.
Messra Dalgety and Company, Limited, report as fallows on their weekly sale at the Eketahuna yards on Friday We have much pleasure in reporting; that all advertised lots came forward and several lots that were not catalogued to be advertised came to the yard. Practically all our yarding was sold under the hammer, .but for all that bidding was rather slow, and the inquiry was iully up to our entry. Therefore ws quitted our yarding. We quote : Woolly lambs, 9s 6d; poor class, 6s lid to 7s 3d; shorn lambs, 7s 9d to 8s Id; 2-tooth ewes, 12s lOd to 13s 8d; 4 to 6 tooth ewes, 10s 6d to lis lOd; full mouth ewes were hard to quit, but • we can quote 4s lOd to 6s 4cl; sound mouth ewes, 8s 6d to 10s 6d; 2-tooth wethers (very backward) 8s Bd. Rams were well competed for and prices were well maintained. Southdown were sold at 3 to 5 guineas; Uomneiys to 2$ guineas; Lincolns, to 2 guineas. Cattle: Empty cows to £2 15s; 3~year steers, from £3 15s tto £4 sj. Young stock: Yearlings, 265; calves, 18s. Our next sale will be held on Thursday, Bth April.
