The annual report was submitted and adopted as follows: "Your committee have much pleasure in laying before you the sixth annual report and balance sheet. The Trials, which were held on May 28th and 29th last, at Mr H. G. Williams' property, Lansdowne, were a decided success, financially and otherwise. The entries in the various classes were large, and the competition keen. It was gratifying to your committee to see su many competitors present hailing from a distance, and this fact tended to add an additional interest to the Trials, and it is hoped x tbat thase gentlemen will again favour the Club with their entries and attendance. Your commit*tee wish to record their sincere thanks to Mr W. 0. Rutherford, of Montrose, Canterbury, for acting as and no doubt a great deal of the success of the Trials was due to that gentleman's able judgment. To Mr H. G. Williams for use of his very convenient grounds at Lansdowne, to Messrs J. and H. Holmes for supplying tree gratis the great number of sheep required for the Trials, to the various donors who subscribed so liberally to the prize fund, and to those gentlemen who assisted in various ways to make the gathering a success, your committee wish to place on record their appreciation and thanks." The annual balance sheot, which showed a profit for the year of £2l 16s lid, was alsofadopted. The following officers were elected: —President, Mr H. H. Beetham; Vice-Presidents, Messrs H. G. The meeiing resolved to commence the annual trials on May 27tln next on the property ot Mr Walter Cameron, of Te Ore Ore. A bonus of £lO was voted to Mr G. R. Sykes, the secretary, for his services to the Club. J
