PASSENGER JUMPS OVERBOARD.

WELLINGTON, March 28. f A single man named James Fleming. a saloon passenger, from Lyttelton, by the steamer Maori, jumped overboard as the steamer was approaching Wellintgon Wharf today. A boat was promptly lowered, and the body was found after a little while, life being extinct.

Fleming was a clerk in the employment of the Bank of New Zealand, and was being transferred from Waimate to Wellington.
