STOCK MARKET.
The New Zealand Loan and Mercantile Agency Co., Ltd., report on their weekly sale at Eketahuna, yesterday, as follows:—We offered a good "average yarding in sheep, the class bein« fairly good throughout. Good ewes maintained their values as did lamb 3. Faulty ewes were hard to quit. A fair number of rams offered, all finding purchasers. Cattle were fairly well represented, a clearance with one or two exceptions being made, rates being about on a par with last week. Wc quote: —Best ewes, 12s 6d, lis 6d, others 10?, 9s, aged 6s, lambs, best 9s, others 7 ? to Bs. fat ewes 9s, Lincoln rams 1 to 2gns, Romneys J to lgn, 24year steers 70s to 72s 6d, 18 month 40s to 55a, forward cows 60s, heifers 40s, calves, good 16s. Messrs Abraham and Williams, Ltd., report on their Eketahuna sale as follows: —Sheep came in up to advertised numbers, and we have to report on a total clearance under the hammer of our entry, with the exception of one pen of s.m. ewes. We quote the followin prices:—Twotooth "ewes 13s, 13s Id and 13s 8d; sound mouthed ewes to 10s Gd to lis 10d; lambs, 7s 7d to 9s 6d for good quality; cull ewes, 7s Id; full mouth ewes were hard to quit at 5s to 9s. Cattle. —Three-year 3teers, £4 Is; cows with calves at foot, £4; heifers in calf,.3ls 6d to£2 Is; 2-year steers, £2 lis; old cows, to 225. Our next sale wih be held on Thursday, April I Bth.
