FATAL EXPLOSION.
MINERS OVERCOME BY FOUL AIR. EIGHT NATIVES SUCCUMB. Received March 26, 10.15 p.m. PRETORIA, March 26. An explosion burst the fresh air pipes at the Langlaagte Deep Mine on the Rand. Sixty nine whites were overcome by the foul air. Eight of the former succumbed. The whites are recovering.
