Five thousand sheep came under the hammer, and comprised in this number were two really good lines of breeding ewes, one of 1,300 and another line of Aohonga bred ewes of 1,900, which sold st satisfactory prices. In sympathy with the drop in the fat market, dry sheep were not so eagerly sought afirs, but as vendors seemed to have made up their mini to accent low prices at the end of the sale we succeed in practically quitting our whole entry. We quote as follows:—Sheep.—Good 4 year old Romr.ey-Lincohi cross ewes sold up to 13s Id, lighter woolled 4 year "Id ewes sold up to I2s 7d. 2th and 4th ewes to 13s 7d,'4-tooth to f.f.m. ewes (small) 10s 3d to 12s Id, f.m. ewes (medium) 8s 6d to 9.s 7d, 2-tooth wethers 9s to* 10a, 2 and 4-tooth wethers 10s 2d to lis, 2-tooth ewes and wethers (mixed) 10s 3d.
