HOCKEY.
All members and intending members of the Ramblers Hockey Club are rsquested to attend practice on the Showgrounds, this afternoon, it 3 o'clock. The W.F.C.A. Club will hold a practice this afternoon on the ground opposite the Masterton School. Judging by the support that is being accorded to the newly-formed Ramblers Ladies' Club, and the large number of members who attend practice every day, a successful season is in store for the Club. The Showgrounds have been secured to play on. The Hon. A. W. Hogg, Minister of Labour, has'written to the Secretary accepting the position of Patron, donated a guinea to the Club's funds, and has wished the Club a prosperous Reason. Mr F. Dupre has accepted the position of Vice-President, and has donated a handsome gold medal for the best allround player, while Mrs Home, has promised a trophy for competition. Miss F Miller has already done excellent work as Secretary, and together with the other members, who are showing themselves very energetic, ha.s the Club on a sound footing.
