A very pleasant cricket match was played between Mataikona and Castlepoint on the Sth instant at Mataikona. and resulted in a win for the former. The weather was perfect and the pitch good. Mr R. J. Barton provided an excellent lunch and both players and visitors speak in high praise of the warm hospitality extended to them. The following were the scores:— CASTLEPOINT.—Ist innings.
