WAITARA MURDER TRIAL

Mr Skerrett opened the case for the defence in the Waitari murder trial, and said that it was admitted that Dr.. Goode shot Mrs Klenner, but indicated that the line of defence would be to prove that accused was insane and irresponsible. Mr Skerrett called Mr Jenkins, Mayor of Waitara, who deposed as to intemperate habits and delusions as to being persecuted. Others gave similar evidence.
