Received March 18, 10.10 sum. MELBOURNE, March 18. The Commonwealth population returns show that Victoria's increase during the year was 23,079, New South Wales 22,730, South Australia's 14,515, Queensland's 10,580, Western Australia's 5,547, and Tasmania's 1,816. Males outnumber females by 228,744. Victoria was the only State which contains more women than men.
