Messrs Abraham and Williams, Ltd., report on their johnsonville sale as follows;—A good yarding of prime bullocks were well up to requirements. Beef made 20s to 20s 6cl per hundredweight. A large yarding of sheep sold readily at late rates. We quote:—Best bullocks, £8 to £8 7s 6d; lighter, £7 10s to £7 17s 6d; extra heavy prime wethers, 14s lOd to 15s; good wethers, 13s 6d to 13s 8d; plain, 12s; extra heavy ewes, 12s 1U1; good ewes, lis to lis 2d; plain, 10s fid; shorn lambs, lis; woolly lambs, lis, 12s, to 12s 7d. Messrs Dalgety and Co., Ltd., report having held their usual fortnightly sale in their Pahiatua yards on Tuesday, 16th March, 1909. Stock of all descriptions came forward well above advertised numbers, but were not of a very high-class, which was the cause ot rather a dull sale, but we practieally sold all our yarding at auction*and privately. They quote:—F.m. ewes 9s 6d to 10s sd, f.m. ewes (low condition) Cs 3d to 7s 6d, f.f.m. ewes lis to 13s sd, 4 and 6-tooth ewes 12s 6d to 13s 6d, lambs (culls) 4s, medium 6s sd, 7s 3d to 7s Sd. Rams—3 shear Romncy ,3.| guineas, one shear Romneys 2 guineas, full mouth Koniney and Lincoln rams 10s 6d to 1 guinea. Cattle. —2l and 3-year steers £4, store cows £2 tc £3, cows in milk £2 lis to £3 ss, fat cows to £3 15s. ~_•.-...,;L_
