Joseph Hocking made a violent attack on the Catholics. There were l'j:iu:Huous scenes, owing to Mr Hocking accusing- prominent Free Church politicians of opposing the proposal for ;: Government enquiry regarding conventual institutions in Britain. The Council decided that the speech should be put in pamphlet form and sold broadcast at a penny a copy.
