! (Special Reporter.) I The annual sports meeting of the Ahiaruhe Sports Club was held yesterday in fine weather. There was a 1 large attendance, and the meeting wes a most successful one. Several athletes from Masterton competed 1 and were very successful, the competitors' being Messrs R. McKenzie, W. White, J. Johnston,.V. Richards and W. Bannister. The popular secretary of the Club (Mr H. A. Bunny) had all the arrangements complete, and is to be congratulated en his efforts to make the gathering the success it was. He was' ably assisted by competent stewards. | The following were the results: — 220 yds Hurdle Handicap. —A. Hodge 1, R. McKenzie 2, W. Desmond 3. Maiden Kaoe, 150 yds. —Sullivan 1, Lawrence 2. Wallacy 3. Ahiaruhe Handicap, 100yds.—First heat: V. Richards 1, Sullivan 2, J. Johnston 3. Second heat:" W. J. White 1, McMaster 2, R. McKenzie ?,. Final: W. J. White 1, R. McKenzie 2, Sullivan 3. 220yds—Final : W. J. White 1, R. McKenzie 2, Sullivan 3. 440 yds - Final: W. Bannister 1, W. J. White 2, J. Johnston 3. The gold medal for the most points was won by W. J.
