AMERICAN BEEF TRUST.
Received March 9, 8.20 a.m. LONDON, March 8. In the House of Commons the Right Hon. D. Lloyd George (Chancellor of the Exchequer), replying to Mr W. Field, Nationalist member for St. Patrick's Division of Dublin, stated that the Government was considering the possibility of making the American Beef Trust pay income tax on the profits arising from its transactions in Great Britain.
